Have you tried writing your own website?
If so, one of three things probably happened...
1) You've done an AMAZING job.
No, really. Nobody can tell you otherwise. Wrapping yourself in that ego and hubris keeps you warm at night. (If this describes you, you would never have read this far. We're both safe.)
2) You're frustrated and gave up.
You are not alone. See also: the headline in the banner above.
3) You've written something passable.
You're not in love with it. But it's better than nothing, right? And yes, something is better than nothing. The question is: how much better?

How we write your website...
Over the course of about four weeks, this process requires a total of about three or four hours of your time. When we're working together on writing your website, here's how the process works...
1. THE CONVERSATION We talk. We spend a few minutes talking about life, the universe and everything. Then, we dig into where you are, where you want to be, who you best serve in your practice, and what you want to communicate to them. 2. THE DISTILLATION I spend a week distilling our conversation into a Persona Report. It shows various concrete statements about you as an attorney, your practice, and the client you wish to attract. It also shows a basic outline for the website that we’re going to write for you. You approve it (with changes if necessary) and we move on to the next stage. 3. THE WRITING We agree on the information in the Blueprint, or make changes as necessary. Then, the writing begins. 4. THE REVIEW A week later, I submit your website copy for review. You make any notes regarding necessary edits. Those edits are implemented, and your copy is put to bed. There's a saying in Hollywood: If it's not on the page, it's not on the screen. You now have the pages. The thinking and the words that appeal to your prospect have been put down on the page. Your story has been made manifest. IS FIRM APPEAL RIGHT FOR YOU?
Find out more by taking the Firm Appeal Discovery Survey You have 3 options for building your website...The process of building your website varies, depending on the route you choose.
1. WORKING WITH FIRM APPEAL Are you budget minded? Do you want a site you can change easily without learning WordPress? Our in-house designer builds your website on a drag & drop platform that is far easier than WordPress for the uninitiated. You yourself can make changes on the fly when necessary.
We also book a time with you and our web designer. You get a demonstration of what happens inside your web builder. We show you how to log in, get under the hood, and make changes or write blog posts on your own as necessary. We hand you the keys, and you have your own website which you can change at will. (Alternately, you can hire Firm Appeal for a website maintenance plan, which is useful when combined with our blogging package.) 2. WORKING WITH ONE OF OUR PARTNERS If you’re working with one of our recommended web designers on a WordPress site, you’ll be discussing the timeline with them. They keep us aware of your progress,. We review the draft to see if we recommend any changes. 3. WORKING WITH YOUR OWN WEB DESIGNER If you’re working with your own web designer, you will coordinate with them. How you proceed is up to you. We do recommend that once the draft website is complete, you let us see the project. Once your copywriting is made manifest in a web design, tweaks might be necessary.
